Potter Year 3 Class
Welcome to Potter Class!
We hope you have had an enjoyable and relaxing summer break and are ready for the year ahead. We are looking forward to introducing the children to a range of topics over the year and we have lots of exciting learning opportunities planned!
To start the year we will be looking at 'Buildings' with a historical focus. We will be looking at the different homes people have lived in through history and looking at how architecture has developed. We will be starting with the Stone Age. In the Spring term, we will be taking a trip to Europe for our Geography unit 'Eurovision'. We will have the chance to study lots of European cultures and design our own pizzas! In the Summer term, we will return to a historical focus, 'Languages', where we will learn about how language has developed through time.
We will also have the opportunity to take part in some exciting Science investigations. We will be starting the year with 'Plants'.
Children will need their own pencil case next year. Please ensure children have pencils, colouring pencils, a ruler, a pencil sharpener, child-friendly scissors, a glue stick and a whiteboard pen. Children will have the opportunity to earn a 'pen license' over the year as they develop their cursive style.
If you wish to, please sendyour child with a healthy snack to have during break time. Also, please ensure that a named water bottle is brought in daily.
We look forward to a year of fun and exciting learning with you.
