Residential Trip to the Essex Coast

What an eventful week we have had at school!

On Monday Year 5 set off on their residential trip to the Essex coast to experience life on board a lightship. We have been keeping parents informed of the children’s adventures and fun via our Twitter page HarpAcademy1. 

The children have shown great maturity and independence and enjoyed various   activities such as sailing, rafting, dredging, the high ropes and archery. Their shipmate duties have included preparing their own meals, washing up, cleaning the dining room and keeping the ship’s deck and their cabins spick and span. We have kept them busy!  I’m sure parents have missed their children and I can assure you they will return happy and shattered on Friday.

Thank you to our wonderful team of staff—Mrs Davies, Mrs Foster and Miss Williams for encouraging the children and keeping them safe and happy over the last week.
