Dahl Year 5 Class
Welcome to Year 5!
We hope you had a fabulous and relaxing summer break.
This year will bring lots of exciting new topics to learn about! ‘Our changing world’, all about coasts, will start off our year, linking very nicely with our residential trip to Fellowship Afloat in September. Then, in the Spring term we will learn all about ‘Conflicts’. Finally, we will finish the year with ‘Earthquakes and Volcanoes’.
In year 5, the children arrive at school from 8.30am via the top gate. They leave from the same place at 3.20pm. Please make sure you send your child into school each day with a named re-usable water bottle, appropriate outdoor clothing and their pencil case with all equipment labelled clearly!
Children should read to an adult at least five times a week. Please record any comments about this in their reading response books along with their reading response activities. Home learning will continue to go out weekly via Class Dojo. More information will be sent out about this in September.
