Are you an enthusiastic teacher looking for a school where pupils and staff share a love of learning in a caring, supportive environment? Are you looking to share and develop your skills in a nurturing and thriving school?

Harpenden Academy is a one form entry primary school. OFSTED inspected the Academy June 2019 and judged the school as GOOD with OUTSTANDING features and has recently undergone an ungraded inspection February 2025.

We are looking for a Key Stage 2 teacher for September 2025. We are a happy little school with delightful children with friendly, professional and supportive members of staff. We are known locally for the care and nurture we give our children while at the same time providing a strong education and a bespoke curriculum which suits our children’s strengths. We very much live and breathe our philosophy of” Educating Hearts and Minds.”

We are looking for someone who is quick to learn, ambitious and a lifelong learner who is prepared lead a curriculum area.

We will offer:

  • Motivated pupils who care for and support each other. 
  • A nurturing environment where staff, pupils, governors and parents work together in partnership towards clear and mutually agreed goals. 

Ideally, we are looking to recruit and experienced teacher but ECTs are welcome to apply.
