UK Go Tournament

Last Saturday 9 pupils (and two mums!) played Go in the Cambridge Novices Go Tournament. Everyone played very well and impressed the organisers with their enthusiasm, concentration and fighting spirit! There was a strong home showing from Cambridge of course and they secured the top two spots with Monty placing joint third. Although many of the players from Harpenden Academy were quite new to Go, everyone won at least one out of the five games played over the course of the afternoon. The organisers were impressed by the playing strength and keenness of our club members. Well done everyone!

The next tournament will be the UK Go Challenge Finals on 14 July. There will be a HA school tournament held next term in preparation for this - details of how to participate will follow soon!
