At Harpenden Academy, we want to ensure that children start their school journey in the most positive way. We want them to feel nurtured and happy. We know that if children feel happy and settled, they will flourish in their learning.
Our themes may include:
Each half term we have ‘umbrella’ themes that encompass many aspects of learning.
These themes can adjust and change dependent on the cohort of the children and will adapt based upon their interests and their needs. Each week we will add enhancements to areas that link to the skills the children are learning.
Throughout each of the themes, activities will be planned to meet the requirements of the seven areas of the EYFS framework.
